Jotto

Jotto is a game that combines logic and vocabulary. Each person comes up with a secret five-letter word with no repeat letters. In turn, each player guesses a word and the other player has to tell them how many "jots" there are, how many of the letters in the guessed word match the actual secret word. Here is a video of Corinne and Liz playing Jotto.

thanks, ed.
it was great to see two of my dearest friends in such a familiar situation–– playing a game that we've been playing for too many years. I appreciated your infomative captions as well.
I bookmarked your site; it seems filled with many scenes of p-town which I sometimes find myself missing fondly. hmmm, wonder why.
say hi to corbib for me.

Em! Glad you liked it. I'm taking requests for Portland-area staples to give the video treatment... any suggestions?

Rene! Thanks for the comment, I love the "unsharp mask" filter too, gives everything a kind of twice-photocopied effect. I might be using it too much though (last three entries). Prizes? No, but Cor won... so her prize was getting to take me home. But that's the case every night, as we're shacking up.

mmm. I dunno. I feel like all my staples may have disappeared, cuz, y'know, portland's such an up n' comin' town. I always liked the train yards in Pearl, but I kinda assume like they've been turned into condos by now. Bridges, obviously, are good. Brick buildings, too, are good. As far as specific establishments go, I think they're all gone. It's been ten years! I like the neighborhoods. I like my friends.
And I like the kitties.

My favorite parts are when she says she loves you and your bad bm joke.

American Dream is the second best pizza in Portland, after Escape from NY.
